You are entitled to receive a "Good Faith Estimate," which provides an estimate of expected treatment costs. This estimate usually covers the total service cost, but it can vary based on the number of sessions attended, your personal situation, the services provided, and the therapist's billing and payment methods. This process helps clients grasp the financial aspects of therapy and make well-informed choices about their mental health care.

  • I am only providing therapeutic services via Telehealth at this time. For video sessions, I use a service that is both encrypted and HIPAA compliant for utmost confidentiality.

  • I ask for a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel our scheduled session. If cancellations or rescheduling occur less than 24 hours in advance, a full payment fee will apply. This time is exclusively reserved for you based on our commitment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, this is considered a missed appointment and the full fee will apply.

  • I don't accept insurance, but I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year. You can sign up using this link!

Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation.

If you’d rather submit to your insurance on your own using your out-of-network coverage, I can help with that. Many insurance plans provide out-of-network mental health coverage. For those wishing to use insurance and have out-of-network coverage, I can provide monthly statements that you can submit to their insurance companies for partial reimbursement. Many times, this is termed as a “super-bill”.

If you’re interested in using insurance to cover a portion of the session fee, I advise reaching out to your insurance provider and asking if out-of-network mental health services are covered, and if so, at what rate they reimburse. It is also helpful to know if you have a deductible that you have to meet before your insurance provider will offer reimbursement. Additionally, if you have a flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA), you may use this to help pay for your mental health services.

  • I customize therapy to each individual and can’t predict how many sessions it will take for one to reach their goals. I have worked with some that come in with one specific issue they want to address, and when they find that they are able to take what they’ve learned inside sessions outside into their daily life, they tend to move through therapy relatively quickly. In other cases, some may have more complex challenges and/or busy lives, and setting aside even 50 minutes a week to come to therapy is a feat for them. For these individuals, therapy may take a longer time. We will work with you at your pace, and our hope is to help you reach your goals and to reap the benefits of therapy in time.

  • In order to provide effective therapy, I ask my clients to attend sessions weekly at the start of therapy. Once they have made progress and have met their goals, I will reduce the frequency of sessions in preparation for wrapping up therapy, at which point, I will invite clients to return if they ever need additional support or a “tune-up.”

For Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy it looks a little different. At the start, you may have your intake, prep and medicine session all in one week. This will be discussed and tailored to each client case-by-case.

  • No, I am not a medical doctor and cannot prescribe medications including, but not limited to Ketamine. If you are to start Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy services with me, you will be referred to an external prescriber for medical consultation and follow-up medical evaluations.

  • I do not offer MDMA or Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions in my private practice at this time, as those substances are not currently available for use outside of the research setting. As this changes, my offerings will be updated accordingly.

I do offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy in my private practice, which is currently legal and available by prescription. I use a similar treatment approach to that used in psychedelic clinical trials.
